Our Community knows that your commitments to building belonging at work succeed as you strengthen your connections with your peers, because we’ve seen it happen again-and-again.

The Belonging Community moves at the speed of trust. We offer an inclusive and supportive environment built for you to learn, amplify your successes, and workshop solutions to your challenges.

We created this Community because we no longer want to go it alone. Together, we will develop your inclusive leadership skills and build belonging at work with a community who has your back.

EXPLORE A TREASURE TROVE OF CONTENT

Helping you build belonging at work is what we do best, so of course this community is filled with exclusive content for helping you with your inclusive leadership skills and advance your DEI goals.

With an existing library of live presentation replays, downloadable worksheets and resources, as well as monthly call recordings, prompts, and insights, we are here to help you continually grow & feel enough.

SHARE JOB & CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES

Whether you are in transition between one DEI job and your next opportunity, a consultant seeking contract opportunities, or someone looking to break into the DEI field, you are in the right place.

Our Community will have space to share employment and contract opportunities. We are here to encourage each other and embrace the idea that a “rising tide lifts all boats.”

ENGAGE IN COMMUNITY CALLS, PRESENTATIONS, AND INTERVIEWS

  • Every month, we will host two Zoom meetings on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 1 pm Pacific Time/4 pm Eastern Time. The calls will run for one hour and offer large and small group activities.

  • The first call of each month is a true coaching call. We will explore a theme, and offer an activity for the group to engage in small groups for 15 minutes, and then come back as a large group to process.

  • The second call of each month will feature at least one DEI thought leader related to the topic we cover for the month. The format will likely vary from a webinar, to an interview, to a panel discussion.

  • All Community calls will be recorded and accessible only in our membership portal. This content along with worksheets will be available to you for as long as you maintain your membership

Why is there a fee associated with this Community?

The membership fees you invest help us ensure that our content is accessible. We transcribe all of the talks, which can be an expensive process that we aren’t willing to compromise and because accessibility matter. Your support allows us to make this community as accessible as possible. It also also us to compensate our speakers for their time, experience, and labor in being part of our monthly conversations. So again, when you treat yourself, you’re also really helping our team build capacity to ensure our content is both cutting edge and accessible.

ABOUT YOUR HOST, RHODES PERRY

Thanks for your interest in the Belonging Membership Community! I and my team created this Community because many of us have experienced the pressures of leading our organization’s diversity, equity, and inclusion commitments, with little support.

I too have experienced these pressures in a number of different positions throughout my career, before establishing my consulting firm. Our community exists to have each other’s back, amplify our successes, test and change new approaches to the work, and more.

I love building community and coalition with inclusive leaders, visionaries, and change agents. Together, we can build healthy workplace cultures, but far too often I encounter leaders on the verge of giving up on their DEI commitments due to not having support.

That's why I spent the past two decades working in-and-with many organizations researching, testing, and changing promising practices that lead to workers feeling a strong sense of "belonging" at work. What I have learned along the way is now enshrined in my best-selling book, Belonging at Work.

The Belonging Community brings together what I've discovered during my 20-year journey in the DEI, leadership development and social justice fields, complimented with cutting-edge ideas from fellow thought leaders from around the country.

I’m excited you are considering joining us as we dare to dream about what the future of work can look like, and I hope you’ll make this personal investment in growing as a DEI leader and supporting others along their own journey.

Together let's grow the #BelongingMovement!

Belonging Community Founder

TOGETHER LET'S GROW THE #BELONGINGMOVEMENT

I’m so honored you are considering joining the Belonging Community. Together we will gain professional relationships that will last a lifetime. We will also renew our commitment to advancing our organization’s DEI goals.

Best yet, we will gain powerful connections with global DEI thought leaders, and gain the support and confidence we need to build a greater sense of psychological safety, trust, and belonging at work.

After you enroll, please share this learning opportunity with your colleagues, friends, and others you may need to bring along in order for you to build belonging at work.

Together is definitely better as we have the opportunity to innovate new approaches to some of the most vexing challenges and barriers that get in the way to fully including and learning from our team.

I know we can accomplish this important work as a movement dedicated to building healthier workplace cultures. Let’s unite in community and have each other’s backs as we move at the speed of trust.

TAKE THE #BELONGINGPLEDGE

  • Make the Commitment

I’ll let my colleagues know I’m participating in the Belonging Community with the goal of creating a feeling of belonging for all of my organization’s stakeholders – employees, customers and suppliers.

  • Serve as a Possibility Model

I will serve as a champion of this work by treating others as they wish to be treated, and standing up for others, should they need a #BelongingChampion & ally.

As I continue my journey in the Belonging Community I will share the ideas it offers with a friend or trusted colleague and encourage them to commit to this important work.

  • Take Action

I am a #BelongingChampion committed to actively embracing new approaches to building inclusive workplaces, and I will take what I learned during this Summit and try adapting some of the strategies most relevant to me and my organization over the next 6 weeks.

  • Stay Connected

When I stumble or feel stuck, I will use it as an opportunity to unleash my creativity and seek out support from Summit participants to keep trying until I find what works for my organization. I know I’m not alone, but rather a part of a powerful #BelongingMovement.
